Rescue Me ID: 15-09-19-00142Tasha (female)

Dutch Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

TASHA is just short of two years old and still has all her puppy energy. She is a really sweet dog and listens well. We believe she is a Floppy eared Dutch Shepherd and she fits all the characteristics. She would probably work well as a herding dog, if you have small stock animals. Tasha is 100% vetted- Spayed, microchip, fecal test, HW negative, UTD on all vaccines. She has no health issues. This girl walked in to someones house as a stray and even though the older owner was found, they did not want her back. She was just too much pup for the lady. Her energy level dropped quite a bit since she was spayed and she focuses much better. Tasha ... (Read More)would do well in a home with teenagers or a high energy couple who like to run/bike/swim with their dog. She is VERY smart and learns quickly. She retrieves. At this point, Tasha probably would not do well with a cat but she is a good candidate to learn that cats are her friends. She is in a 'pack' of dogs right now and feeds off the energy. She really needs some time with a good trainer or knowledgeable owner. Tasha had a history of fence jumping, so with the right training and daily high-level exercise and possibly an invisible fence barrier, she would turn out just fine. This is a really GOOD dog and is not mean whatsoever. She has done well in her house-training and does well in a crate but really does not like it.. That would be another area a patient person could effectively work the kinks out of. Please contact streethearts.animal.rescue@gmail.com or visit Streethearts Adoptable Animals on FB to read more about Tasha, watch a video or two of her and request a foster or adoption application.
