Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hot Rod is just that, a flashy, totally eye catching ball of energy looking for his perfect forever home. He is about 11 months old and probably a dutch Shepherd/lab/bull terrier mix. He loves everyone and is smart as a whip. He knows sit, down, come and is completely housebroken. He learns quickly and loves to play ball. He plays all day with his foster brothers and sisters. He is curious about the cats and will chase them if they run, but will also snuggle with them on the couch when its nap time. He loves kids and will be fine in a family with any age children. He aims to please and will do well in a home that can give him a job ... (Read More)and continue to teach him new things. He is going to be an awesome family or therapy dog. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-15-00209STALLONE (male)

Dutch Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Stallone is yet another dog to come to us after the rescue that 'saved' him didn't keep him safe (he is another MARS dog). He was facing death again in a shelter for no fault of his own. Stallone is a very handsome Shepherd boy about 4 years old and 60 pounds. He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and is very faintly HW+. Because it is so mild he takes a Heartguard (provided) every other week and will do so until mid-September, when he will be tested again to be sure he is clear. He loves playing ball, gently snuggling with you, and rides calmly in the car. He is very loving and really wants his own human to be with. Stallone has been ... (Read More)fine with other dogs of both sexes but is not good with cats. Sadly, this loving boy is currently having to board because there were no available fosters at the time his life needed to be saved again. He is calm in his run even when other dogs are excited and barking. He does not tear up his toys. Stallone is smart and wants to please his special person! Could that be you? Rescue Me ID: 13-11-24-00611HARLEY (male)

Dutch Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

HARLEY was saved from Fort Worth Animal Care Services. He had been hit, dragged and run over and left for dead. HARLEY was taken to a vets local to the shelter and received extensive surgery having a plate the length of his pelvis, one in his face, one in his lower jaw and one in his upper jaw. Despite the horrific pain and suffering, HARLEY always kept the sweetest temperment. HARLEY stayed in Fort Worth with one of our GaDaH representatives until he had healed from his surgery. About 6 weeks after surgery HARLEY was given the all clear by the vet and was brought down to live with the pack, and hopefully find his perfect forever family. ... (Read More) HARLEY doesn't let anything phase him, at the shelter he let the resident cat share his gruel, with the pack, he just sits back and watches the commotion with the puppies and then gets up and goes off to do whatever it is he wanted to do. He will come up for some love and cuddles, but not be imposing. In the cold weather, I have noticed him hold his leg up, so it is important to keep him warm and out of drafts since he had so much surgery. HARLEY deserves a family that will spend lots of time with him, not too much of a hustle and bustle but I do think he would enjoy a family environment with or without children. HARLEY's adoption donation is $300 GaDaH does allow out of state adoptions, however, the family must travel to San Antonio, to spend time with the dog to make sure personalities are a good match before traveling home together.     LORRY and her siblings were saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services, hours before they were due to be killed. They are all extremely affectionate and loving, and whenever I over to them, their tails wag instantly and they all run over to see me. LORRY is one of the most affectionate ones, she always comes up and is not pushy, but she makes sure she gives me lots of kisses and gets lots of loving back. We 'think' these are Dutch Shepherd mixes, but it is hard to tell whilst they are still so young.
